Still week motor constant problems

Hey, great vid. Been trying to find out what wheels would fit my hyundai i800 here in the UK. I see that a few people have fitted the ford ranger wheels. I have a set of 17inch 8 inch wide 55 offset 2015 ford ranger wheels with 235 60 17 tyres being offered to me, do you recon these will fit? Cheers Scott

How much would the rims and tyres cost?

Looks great, but with a factory payload of only 780kg minus the weight of all the gear that you put on it, is it still legal to drive with 5 big men on board, or two big men an some luggage ? How much has all that gear reduced what you can carry when towing and touring … I think tow at 3,500kgs the only payload is 80kgs.

Some tips for mounting larger tires on the GR4. The first thing to keep in mind is that the suspension has a different geometry, therefore, putting a spacer with a real thickness of 1 inch will only lift something like 1.2 inches, because the angle of the shock absorber is more direct to the wheel (on normal hilux, a 1.25 inch thick spacer raises the truck almost 2 inches). In my truck, I put real 1 inch spacers, and I got a lift of 32mm (1.25 inches). I mounted a 285/70R17 tire (33 inches), original rim and 1.25 spacer on my Hilux GR 4 (the result is a offset like -2). With that tire, it rubs at the front, with the plastics, to avoid it, i removed the deflector, released the staples, pushed the plastic fender forward and put screws to fix them a little further forward. It also touches the back, just behind the fender fin, at the tip of the platen, to fix it, i cut a piece diagonally, about 3 centimeters horizontal and 10cm vertical, (where the fender extension ends), and the platen that goes underneath, i folded it inward. Finally I placed the plastics in their position and fixed the fender fin to the can that I bent with self-drilling screws (I cut a piece of the fin, more or less close to where the cockpit mount is, it has a small fin that can touch the tire, but I just basically smoothed it out). For the cut can, put a little paint on it and then cover it with an edge cover (the kind for doors). It really is an almost imperceptible modification if you put dedication into it. With these modifications the tire only rubs if you have the steering wheel turned very far and you compress the suspension, and it is a very light friction. In all other situations, it doesn't rub anything. Compared whit normal Hilux, mount 33 inch tires is easier because you dont need to cut the cabin mount, you have enoght space!, you only need cut some plastics and the end of the mudguard, and dont rub in any site. Nice looking bar but I'd be keen to see it after a high speed impact my wife t boned a lexus sedan at 100kph and we drove car to repair shop so it's got a lot to live up too to be best bar

Great looking bar from what i could see but the video effects and speed made it impossible to see it very well and when I did pause it in the right spot I saw welds not too flash. Kind of makes me think this is why you used flashy fast effects to hide things.
